Settle & Kirkby Lonsdale

Today we travel first to the market town of Settle, described as the capital of an isolated kingdom of its own surrounded by Barren Hills.  Also the birthplace of Richard Bache who emigrated to America and became son in law to Benjamin Franklin.  Later we continue to the small and unspoilt market town of Kirkby Lonsdale.  Flanking the three countries of Cumbria.  Lancashire and Yorkshire the town offers a tranquil and picturesque setting.
