Scotland – Troon, Culzean Castle and Isle of Arran

Staying at the Southbeach Hotel Troon
Troon is a quiet seaside town made world famous for golf, hosting the British Open Championship every
seven years. There is also a beautiful beach with an annual clean beach award offering wonderful walks and
stunning views. The family owned Southbeach Hotel is famed for its friendly atmosphere and you will be
treated more as a friend than as a visitor.

Our Itinerary
DAY 1 After your door to door service has brought you to the coach we head North with suitable
refreshments on route. We aim to be at our hotel in plenty of time to settle in before dinner.
DAY 2 – A full day today. We head firstly to Largs for time at leisure before heading over to the Architectually
pretty city of Glasgow.
DAY 3 – We have an early breakfast this morning to catch our sailing over to the Isle of Arran, described as
Scotland in miniature, it encompasses the highlands and the lowlands on its own Island. Whilst on Arran we
have an included lunch.
DAY 4 – A half day today. We have a free
morning before we head to Culzean Castle.
This glorious 260ha estate was once the
playground of David Kennedy, 10th Earl of
Cassillis – a man who was keen to impress
with his wealth and status. The castle
itself is perched on the Ayrshire cliffs,
incorporating everything the earl could
wish for in his country home. It was
designed by Robert Adam in the late 18th
century and is filled to the turrets with
treasures that tell the stories of the people
who lived here.
DAY 5 – After breakfast we travel South to
our home areas. Suitable refreshment
stops will made on the way.
