Scotland – Mountains and Lochs of the Highlands

After our door-to-door service has picked you up, we join our luxury coach and travel north into Scotland with refreshment stops on route by-passing Stirling, Perth and Pitlochry to the Highlander Hotel, Newtonmore for dinner and a stay of four nights.

A full day tour taking us through Monarch of the Glen country travelling past Loch Lagan, Spean Bridge, Loch Lochy and on through the Great Glen past Loch Oich to Fort Augustus. Here we stop awhile before continuing along the shores of Loch Ness and returning to our hotel.

A free Day. We always believe you should explore the area where you are staying. Here at Newtonmore, there is plenty to see including the small village and the Open-Air Highland Folk Museum which contains over 35 historic buildings which is free if charge, just a short walk from our hotel.

Today we have a single journey on the Strath Spey Steam Railway (subject to availability). It operates from Aviemore to Broomhill and is approximately 10 miles long, after this we join our coach and tour the Cairngorm area and mountain. Here at 3,500 feet above sea level you have a chance to ride on the mountain railway to the top.

After breakfast we say farewell to the Highlander Hotel and travel south by-passing Pitlochry and call at the Perthshire Visitors Centre before crossing the border into England and our door-to-door service to you home areas.
