South Wales – The Royal Mint & Brecon Beacons

Our holiday to South Wales takes us to the 4* Parkway Hotel, Cwmbran. This is a superb privately owned
hotel situated on the outskirt of the town, you will experience fine dining, the hotel being proud of the menu
that’s offered. There are ground floor rooms all equipped to a high standard and spacious lounges to relax in.
While here we visit The Royal Mint, St Fagans outdoor rural museum and a full day tour of the Brecon
Beacons.

Our Itinerary
DAY 1 After we pick you up from your door, we join our coach and travel south with selected comfort stops
eventually crossing the border of South Wales into Monmouthshire and onto The Park Hotel, Cwmbran for
dinner and a stay of four nights.
DAY 2 Today we visit The Royal Mint, the official makers of all British coins who also produce for other
countries throughout the world. As well as coins, historic and luxury collectors are also produced. It’s here we
see and learn the process with a chance to stamp your own coin. We also visit St Fagan’s, an open air
museum of how life and survival in past years is featured.
DAY 3 Our visits today include Newport, a once busy port but now redeveloped into a modern town and
Cardiff the country’s capital.
DAY 4 After breakfast a full day tour that takes us up the valley’s past Merthyr Tydfil and over the
Brecon Beacons which are all part of the national park of South Wales. If possible we will make a
stop at the national park visitor centre before continuing to the town of Brecon. Later our return
journey takes us to Abergavenny before returning via Ponypool and eventually Cwmbran to our hotel.
DAY 5 Sadly, we leave the hotel and journey on the old route stopping in Hereford with time here
to visit the cathedral or town centre before continuing via Craven Arms then North to
Lancashire and our door-to-door service to your home areas.
