Italy- Lake Garda and the Magnificent Dolomites

Staying at the 4* Europa Hotel, Riva Del Garda.
A superb holiday taking us to probably the most beautiful lake in Italy, which is situated in the north having
stunning scenery surrounded by glorious mountains. Around the lake can be found pretty villages, many
dating back centuries having old world charm and beauty.
Our 4* hotel is located in the centre of Riva Del Garda overlooking the picturesque harbour just a short stroll
from the ancient narrow streets, pretty public gardens, pleasant square pavement cafes and bars. The 63
guest bedrooms are all air conditioned with t.v, telephone and private facilities. There is also a rooftop terrace
plunge pool.
We have used the hotel for a number of years, it’s great position and accommodation have always been well
admired.

Our Itinerary
DAY 1 After your doorstep pick up, we join our coach and travel via Skipton to York for a short visit before continuing to the port of hull for our P&O crossing to Europort/Rotterdam in Holland. Our on board
accommodation consists of side by side berths with en-suite shower rooms. There is also entertainment in the evening which normally features a cabaret as well as a cinema.
DAY 2 After clearing customs, we board our coach and travel through Holland, crossing the border into Germany and south to our overnight hotel in Sindelfingen for dinner and the evening.
DAY 3 After our breakfast, we leave the hotel and continue south through Germany crossing the border at Fussen into Austria. We then travel over the Fern Pass, stopping for refreshment and onto the Inn valley. After
by passing Innsbruck we join the Brenner Pass, drive over the Europabruck and cross the border into Italy at Vipiteno, continuing down to Riva Del Garda and to our hotel, the 4 star Europa for dinner and a stay of 5 nights.
DAY 4 Today is a free day at leisure to explore your surroundings, there is plenty to see and do. Maybe take a boat, sail to Malcesine or Limone which we could arrange should you wish.
DAY 5 Today after breakfast, we drive to the mostly southerly part of Lake Garda taking the lakeside route via Malcesine, Garda and Bordolino and onto the old resort of Sirmione. It is at the tip of a peninsula where a
roman villa, the thermal baths and ancient 13th cent castle, a rare medieval port fortiacation and old town are situated.
DAY 6 Today our full day tour takes us to some of the most beautiful scenery in the Dolomites. First, we travel north then into the Valley Gardenia visiting the quaint old town of Ortisei. From here we drive down the  stunning Sellajoch pass where you can view Marmolada, the highest mountain in the Dolomites at almost 11,000 feet. After this we stop for lunch before our afternoon return through Moena, Predazzo and Cavalese to our hotel.
DAY 7 A morning visit today as we drive to the town of Trento capital of the Trento region. It is regarded as one of the most attractive towns having lots of history, and once being used by the Romans as their forum
city. After our visit, we return to our hotel for a relaxing afternoon.
DAY 8 After breakfast, we depart our hotel and drive back over the Brenner Pass into Austria. Then via the Fern Pass into Germany to our hotel situated in the Heidelberg area for our overnight stay and evening dinner.
DAY 9 Leaving our hotel we journey north, crossing the border at Venlo into Holland then into Rotterdam and Europort for our P&O crossing to England, once again having outside cabins with side by side low berths.
DAY 10 Our arrival in Hull is approximately 8am, then after clearing customs we depart and drive to our home areas and door to door service arriving mid afternoon.
