Ireland- The Delights of Donegal

Staying at the 4* Trim Castle Hotel, the 3* Keys Hotel Ballbofey and the 4* Stormont Hotel
Our September holiday to Ireland takes us to County Donegal. Staying at The Keys Hotel in Ballybofey. It is a
circular tour that arrives in Dublin, then travels Northwest to Donegal and onto Stormont, departing to
Cairnryan in Scotland.

Our Itinerary
DAY 1 After your home pick-up we join our coach and travel to Holyhead for the afternoon sailing to Dublin
Port, We then drive out of Dublin and onto the 4* Trim Castle Hotel at Trim for our dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2 After a relaxing Irish breakfast, we leave Trim and continue through County Meath to Belleek for an
included visit where delicate Parian China has been produced since 1857. We then drive through
Ballyshannon and Donegal to the Keys Hotel, Ballybofey for dinner and a stay of 3 nights.
DAY 3 Morning free, then an afternoon visits to Donegal town known as ‘The Diamond.’ Here you can
explore the castle, abbey ruins or the Irish tweeds at the famous Magee’s shop. If available we could arrange
a cruise around Donegal Bay.
DAY 4 Today we have a full day tour of the county. First we visit Glenveagh National Park where you can
learn about the area and it’s history or take a mini bus ride along the loch side to the castle. After our visit we
continue our journey through Dunglow, the birth place of Daniel O’Donnell and Glenties back to Ballybofey
and our hotel.
DAY 5 After breakfast we leave our hotel and travel North experiencing wonderful scenery of the Antrim Coast
before arriving at our overnight hotel, the superb 4* Stormont for dinner and an evening of relaxation.
DAY 6 On leaving the hotel, we travel the short distance to Belfast Port for our morning superferry sail to
Cairnryan, Scotland arriving early afternoon. Once through customs we drive the south west coastal route via
Gretna over the border into England and our doorstep service to your homes.
