Ireland – County Clare, The Cliffs of Moher & The Burren
Single Supplement: 180.00
7 Days Sunday 20th – Saturday 26th September
Staying at the 4 star Falls Hotel, Ennistymon & The 4-star Trim Castle Hotel, Trim
The west coast of Ireland is our destination for this holiday, often called the Wild Atlantic Way with sheer coastal cliffs reaching 650 feet tall, and the stark moonscapes of the Burren. While here we include a visit to the Cliffs of Moher and visitors centre as well as Galway City and the coastal villages of Kilkee and Kilrush and the inland town of Lisdoonvarna. Our hotel here is the quality Falls Hotel which stands on the river overlooking a water fall. Our 2 overnight stays are at the Trim Castle Hotel in the town of Trim which overlooks the famous castle where part of Braveheart was filmed.
Our Itinerary
Day 1 – After we have picked you up from your doorsteps, we then join our luxury coach and travel to Holyhead for our afternoon sailing to Dublin. Once customs are cleared, we then drive to Trim to the Trim Castle Hotel for dinner and our overnight stay.
Day 2 – A leisurely Irish breakfast today before we join our luxury coach and travel south through Ireland to Ennistymon and the 4 star Falls Hotel for dinner and a stay of 4 nights.
Day 3 – Today after breakfast we have a leisurely start and drive the Wild Atlantic Way to the coastal town of Kilkee then onto Kilrush which stands on the river Shannon, Irelands longest river. We then return to our hotel via Spannish Point.
Day 4 – Our full day tour today has an included visit to the Cliffs of Moher and visitor’s centre. Here we have an introduction into the history of the Atlantic coastline and the Burren, a large limestone area having rare plants and fauna. We then continue to Doolin, known as the music capital of Ireland and follow the dramatic coastal route looking out over the Atlantic, where on a clear day you can spot the Arran Islands. We then make our way around Black Head and Ballyvaughan Bay before returning to our hotel.
Day 5 – Today we visit Galway, western Irelands adopted capital. We have time here to visit the cathedral and explore Eyre Square with its buzzing café culture and shops.
Day 6 – After breakfast we leave our hotel and journey north east through Irelands countryside to Trim and the Trim Castle Hotel for dinner and second overnight stay.
Day 7 – After a leisurely breakfast the morning is free where you can explore the town or walk around the castle. We then drive to the Port of Dublin for our afternoon crossing to Holyhead and onward to our door-to-door service to your home areas.
