Holland- The Glorious Bulbfields & Keukenhof Park

Staying at The Best Western Spaander Hotel, Volendam
Our Bulbfields holiday this year is a little special, as we stay at the Spaander Hotel. It is a heritage hotel and
is located on the harbour in picturesque Volenham. As well as a commanding position over looking the
Ijsselmeer Lake, the hotel is full of dutch character and charm and is comfortable and cosy. We also include
visits to Marken, Zaanse Schans and of course the highlight of this holiday Keukenhof Park.

Our Itinerary
DAY 1 After our doorstep service we join our luxury coach and travel to York to have free time before arriving
in Hull for our overnight sailing to Rotterdam with accommodation in outside cabins, with side-by-side beds
and on-board entertainment.
DAY 2 After embarkation we join our luxury coach and travel north through Holland visiting a Dutch clog and
cheese maker. Here you will be shown how traditional and modern methods of making wooden clogs are
carried out. You can also sample the various types of cheese Holland is known for. We then continue to our
hotel for dinner and a stay of 2 nights.
DAY 3 Our morning begins with a choice breakfast and later we join our included sail across the Ijsselmeer
to Marken which is another traditional Dutch village where many of the buildings are made of wood. After
time here, we join our coach and drive through some of Hollands lovely countryside and visit Zaanse Schans
famous for its wooden windmills and historic village. Here we will have plenty of time to explore before
returning to our hotel for dinner.
DAY 4 After breakfast we leave our hotel and drive one of the Bulbfields routes to the highlight of our holiday,
an included visit to Keukenhof Park. Without
doubt, this is the most colourful display of bulb
flowers in Europe, where more than 7 million bulbs
are planted each year in an area covering 32
hectares. After our visit we drive to Rotterdam for
our overnight crossing to England with similar
accommodation as the outward crossing.
DAY 5 After our arrival in hull we clear customs
and join our coach, then drive back where your
door-to-door service will take you to your home
areas arriving mid afternoon.
