Staying at The Empress Hotel, Douglas
The superbly situated three star empress hotel, on the seafront at Douglas is our base for this holiday. We
tour the whole of the island including a full drive of the famous TT Course via Ramsey, Port Erin and St
John’s, the location of the ancient Tynwald or Islands Government.
Our crossings to the island are to and from Heysham. Douglas is the capital and largest town on the Isle of
Man. In 1869 the island’s government, the Tynwald relocated to Douglas from Castletown. The annual TT
course starts and finishes here.

Our Itinerary
DAY 1 Leisurely departure from home to
coach and through to the Port of
Heysham for our early afternoon sail to
Douglas on the Isle of Man and the
Empress Hotel for dinner and a stay of
four nights.
DAY 2 Full day tour to the south of the
island visiting Cregneish, Port St Mary &
Castletown.
DAY 3 Free day to explore Douglas or
join our optional tour to Laxey and the
Snaefell Railway. Snaefell is the highest
mountain on the isle of man at 2034ft.
DAY 4 Full day tour of the TT course via
peel and Kirk Michael to the northern
most part of the island Point of Ayre
where on a clear day views of the
mainland can be seen, returning via
Ramsey.
DAY 5 After breakfast we depart the
hotel for our morning sail to Heysham
re-joining our coach and driving to our
home areas and door to door service.
