Our Itinerary
DAY 1 After your door to door service has brought you to the coach, we head first to Ripon for time at leisure
and to purchase lunch before heading North to our hotel for the next 4 nights.
DAY 2 A full day today as this morning we have an included visit to Shildon railway Locomotion, Explore
incredible and legendary locomotives throughout railway history. The afternoon we will spend in the fabulous
city of Durham.
DAY 3 A full day today. We depart at 10am and head firstly to the National Glass Centre in Sunderland for
an included visit before we have a further included visit later this afternoon at Hartlepool Maritime Museum.
The National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool is the perfect place as you journey to a recreated
18th century seaport. Climb aboard the spectacular HMS Trincomalee, the last remaining Royal Navy ship to
be built in India, as well as being the oldest floating British warship and the last of Admiral Lord Nelson’s
Frigates. Travel back in time to the 18th century and see what life on a seaport was really like as you visit
the Chandler’s shop, hear the firing of their cannon and musket, and experience the fighting ships exhibit.
DAY 4 A leisurely morning today before we head to Raby Castle for an included visit. Raby is without doubt
one of the most impressive intact castles in the North of England. Built in the 14th century by the powerful
Neville family, it has a long history. Home to Cecily Neville, mother of two kings of England, it was also the
scene of the plotting of the Rising of the North and
a Parliamentary stronghold during the Civil War.
DAY 5 Today we head for home, stopping on route
at Thirsk, (James Herriot Country), We later make
our way homewards to our door to door service
which will be waiting to take you back to your doorstep.
