Today after breakfast we have an included visit to the RHS Wisley Garden in Surrey. It is the largest of all their gardens. It was originally purchased by George Furgusson Wilson in 1878, and at that time covered 60 acres. He gave it to the RHS in 1903, they developed it further and today covers 240 acres. In 2005 work started on a bicentenary glasshouse which covers ¾ of an acre. It overlooks a lake built at the same time. It is divided into three main planting zones representing desert, tropical and temperate climates.

Our included visit today takes us to Hampton Court, the home of Henry 8th situated by the River Thames near Richmond. It sits in 60 acres of gardens and parkland and it’s here you can find the world-famous 18th century maze. It was Cardinal Wolsey who started building the palace in 1514, but gave it to the King after he fell out of favour with him. It is here you can explore the Tudor kitchens, grand state rooms and grand timber roof of the great hall.

A leisurely day today as we drive to Windsor with its magnificent 11th century castle built by William the Conqueror. We give you a short tour of the town with the rest of the morning free for you to explore as you please. It’s also only a short walk over Windsor bridge to Eton where you can view the famous college. In the afternoon we include a 2-hour sail from Windsor promenade on the River Thames passing famous landmarks and houses, with included commentary.

We leave our hotel and travel north with comfort stops to our door-to-door service and your home areas.
