Day-by-day itinerary

First we visit Carlisle which has been of historical significance since well before
Roman times and is currently the largest city in England by area with a population of over 100,000. The city’s castle has only recently stopped being occupied by the King’s own Border Regiment however, it is still used as a base for the cadets and
ex-servicemen to this day. Before we head home we will visit the ever popular Houghton Hall Garden Centre.
