Wales – Llanberis & Cambrian Coast

Your door-to-door service will arrive to bring you to the coach. Once on board we make our way to Llangollen for time to peruse and purchase lunch. Renowned for the surrounding hills and the River Dee, Llangollen has something for every visitor, this small town also has a wealth of independent shops to browse and interesting places to visit. Take a stroll along the Victoria Promenade, picnic in the Riverside Park or watch the river tumble down beneath the bridge. Onwards to our hotel where we hope to arrive with plenty of time to settle in before dinner.

A full day today as firstly we visit the Royal town of Caernarfon. Mighty Caernarfon is possibly the most famous of Wales’s castles. Its sheer scale and commanding presence easily set it apart from the rest, and to this day, still trumpet in no uncertain terms the intention of its builder Edward I. Begun in 1283 as the definitive chapter in his conquest of Wales, Caernarfon was constructed not only as a military stronghold but also as a seat of government and royal palace. This afternoon we tour Anglesey visiting Llanfair P.G and also the prehistoric port of Holyhead. The largest town on the Isle of Anglesey, Holyhead is actually on the tiny Holy Island, separated by the narrow Cymyran Strait.

A full day as we drive to Porthmadog. Nestled on the picturesque Glaslyn Estuary in North Wales, Porthmadog is a charming harbour town steeped in maritime history and natural beauty. From here we have a single journey on the Welsh heritage railway to Bleanau Ffestiniog where we rejoin our coach and make our way back to our hotel via the picturesque route to Betws y Coed and the Llanberis Pass.

A full day as we explore the charming village of Dolgellau. It's a beautiful market town nestled at the foot of Cadair Idris, offering a gateway to Snowdonia's stunning scenery and various activities. This afternoon we visit the seaside town of Barmouth. Blue flag beaches and stunning sunsets, promenade walks and quirky shops all make Barmouth the charming town it is. We return via the scenic Cambrian Coast road.

After breakfast we travel to Llandudno for time at leisure. Known as "the Queen of the Welsh Watering Places," it offers a charming Victorian atmosphere, stunning coastal scenery, and a range of attractions. Later we continue to meet our door-to-door service which will return you to your doorstep.
