Our Itinerary
DAY 1 Our personal door to door service provides a stress-free start to your holiday, taking you to our coach before it departs south to our 4* quality hotel for dinner and a stay of 4 nights. Refreshment stops will be made en-route.
DAY 2 Today we board MV Jahan for a cruise on the gentle waters of the River Deben, said to be one of the most picturesque spots on the east coast. Tea / Coffee & biscuits are included before we drive to Colchester, Britain’s oldest town. We conclude with an included visit to Beth Chatto Gardens. This was an overgrown wasteland in previous years, and has now been transformed into beautiful gardens for visitors to enjoy.
DAY 3 Another full day today with an included guided walking tour of Lavenham. This spot is known as “England’s Finest Medieval Village”, and has many instances of timber framed buildings dating right back to Tudor times. After this we visit Flatford, home to the 18th century mill made famous in Constable’s paintings. We finish the day with a stop in Dedham.
DAY 4 Today is our included visit to the renowned RHS Garden Hyde Hall. Often visitors are surprised by the stunning views over Essex that can be witnessed in the gardens.
DAY 5 After our full week of spectacular scenery and enjoyable visits we must now head home to our northern home areas, with the journey provided by Brethertons all the way to your door.
