Staying at the 3* White Swan Hotel

Our hotel the 3* White Swan dates back over 300 years and is situated in the heart of the town centre. The Olympic dining room offers an experience of splendour with the original oak panelling, mirrors, ceiling and stained glass windows salvaged from the SS Olympic, sister ship to the Titanic.

Our Itinerary

DAY 1 Our tour to Northumberland takes us to Alnwick, its county town, situated on the River Aln. The town centre displays much character with its cobbled market place, lovely old,well preserved buildings and the warren of narrow alleyways and streets dating back to medieval times.

DAYS 2 & 3

Full day included visit to Alnwick Gardens, just a short walk from the hotel. Full day tour of the Northumberland Coast, calling at Seahouses, Bamborough and Holy Island (tide permitting).

DAY 4 Our return journey takes us to Otterburn Mill (commissioned by Buckingham Palace to manufacture a small rug for the Royal pram) before continuing South towards Hexham and Carlisle then onward to our home areas.
