The Malverns are the highest hills in Worcestershire, Malvern being the main town. It is where the Abbey Hotel our destination for this holiday it situated. A variety of visits for all tastes have been included coupled with countryside drives and villages of the area.
Included visits are the Spetchley Park Gardens and Edward Elgars birthplace. Also the Worcestershire Porcelain Museum which is situated close to Worcester’s Cathedral. Totally different to this is a visit to one of the very few British car builders, the Morgan car factory where we have another included guided tour. We also visit the old world town of Ledbury.
Spetchley Park Gardens are gardens of contrast, where formal clipped hedges, rose beds and sweeping lawns meet tumbling herbaceous borders and walls festooned with rampant climbers.
Edward Elgar Born in the small village of Lower Broadheath near Worcester he became one of Britain’s great composers.
Porcelain Museum houses the world’s largest collection of Worcester porcelain.
