Devon – Dawlish, The Jurassic Coast & Powderham Castle

Dawlish Warren is the ultimate family seaside resort – built on a spit of sand with the Exe estuary on one side and the sea on the other with golden sands and clean bathing waters. It has all the attractions of a traditional holiday getaway but in an outstanding natural environment. You’ll find the family-run Langstone Cliff hotel set within 19 acres of woodlands, right on the beautiful south coast of Devon. Overlooking the Exe Estuary, it is the only Dawlish hotel that is surrounded by luscious lawns and gardens, not forgetting the magnificent sea views that lead down to the golden sandy beaches and the Warren. The hotel’s reputation is unrivalled and it is something the owners (the Roger’s family) are extremely proud of. With the beach just a short walk away via a public footpath and the internationally famous nature reserve at Dawlish Warren nearby, this is the ideal base for our tour.

Our Itinerary
DAY 1 After your door to door service has brought you to the coach, we head south via the motorway networks stopping for suitable breaks on the way to Devon and our hotel for the next 4 nights.
DAY 2 A free morning to explore your surroundings. After lunch we head to the stunning coastal town of Teignmouth with its historic Georgian buildings and long sandy beaches.
DAY 3 A full day today as we head to the Jurassic coast and the beautiful seaside town of Sidmouth. We later have an included visit to the fortified manor house, Powderham Castle.
DAY 4 Today we have a leisurely day. We head to the pretty harbour town of Brixham. Life here has always centred around the harbour, where heritage trawlers jostle for space with day boats heading out to sea for the day’s catch, bringing it home daily to Brixham’s famous fish market.
DAY 5 After breakfast we head for home. We retrace our steps via the motorway network with suitable breaks on route before reaching our home areas where your door-to-door service will return you to your homes.
