Ancient Cities, Valleys & Villages

On this holiday we visit Salisbury, Winchester, Oxford, Marlborough and a full day to Bath.

Oxford – a university centre with excellent architecture and shopping centre.

Bath – a magnificent Georgian City standing on the River Avon. Attractions are many, the Roman Baths, Crescent, Jane Austen
centre and costume museum to name a few.

Marlborough – with its Jacobean and Georgian buildings including the Merchants House, has a wide main street with a church at either end, the famous college which Kate Middleton attended and ample tea rooms.

Winchester – ancient capital of Wessex with its famous Cathedral the burial place of St Swithun.

We stay at the excellent Hilton four star hotel north of Newbury in Royal Berkshire. The hotel has a swimming pool.
