Our Itinerary
DAY 1 Today marks the beginning of our holiday to the fantastic Shetland Islands – starting with our personal door to door service bringing you to the coach and lifting all your stress. Today’s journey is to Aberdeen for an overnight stay to make the start of our adventure tomorrow far less rushed. We travel north into Scotland bypassing Perth and along the east coastal route to Aberdeen for dinner and our overnight stay at the Altens Hotel.
DAY 2 After breakfast, we leave our hotel and join our guide for an included 2 hour guided visit of Aberdeen. The afternoon Is free in Aberdeen before we drive to the port and board our overnight ship to Lerwick, where your accommodation, dinner and breakfast are included on board.
DAY 3 On arrival in Lerwick, Shetlands capital, we leave the port and join our guide for a full day tour of Yell & Unst. Today’s visit includes a guided tour of the islands. Unst is the most northerly of the British Isles, and Yell is renowned for its birdlife and dramatic scenery and rugged wilderness. Our guide will enlighten you on all the islands have to offer, their history and spectacular views.
DAY 4 Today we will have a full day to explore Lerwick, Britain’s most northerly capital.
DAY 5 We have another day touring the area with our Shetland guide before returning to our hotel for dinner.
DAY 6 We take a morning tour today before arriving back to Lerwick Port for our overnight sail with dinner, breakfast and accommodation included on board ship.
DAY 7 Once we have arrived back in Aberdeen we will make our way south through Scotland and over the border back to England and onto our exclusive door to door service.
