Chester Shopper

Chester provides a shopper’s paradise with it’s medieval yet elegant 700 year-old-two-tiered buildings housing cafes, independant shops and high street favourites.

This is also a great opportunity to explore the beautiful classic and contemporary city. Chester’s history began with the Romans nearly 2000 years ago and was one of three important military centres in Britain. The ancient city lies under the present city and evidence of the Roman period can be seen everywhere (http://www.english-in-chester.co.uk/chester/historic-chester/). The Roman amphitheatre at Chester was the largest in Britain and well worth a visit (see link below for more information).
