Springtime in Lincolnshire

Our British springtime tour takes us to Lincolnshire and to the 4* Urban Hotel at Grantham. From here we will tour the Lincolnshire Wolds and countryside and also visit Lincoln itself with is fine Cathedral and shopping centre.

Our Itinerary

DAY 1 Morning departure over the Pennines then South, making a lunch stop at Newark-on-Trent, famous for its Castle. Time will be given here for you to explore the castle and gardens or many heritage attractions of this market town. We will then continue the journey to our hotel in Grantham for a dinner and stay of 4 nights.

DAYS 2, 3 & 4

Morning free in Grantham and then an included afternoon visit to the National Trust’s grade 1 property, Belton House. In this beautiful classic English country house (dating back to the 1680s) you can discover fine-looking collections of Silver and porcelain as well as the two storey chapel.

A Full day tour to Lincoln, the county capital, with its magnificent cathedral, Castle and Jew’s House (the oldest dwelling house in England).

This morning we take you for a country run over the Lincolnshire Wolds to Woodhall Spa which is famous for its Second World War association with the RAF 617 Squadron known as the ‘Dam Busters.’

DAY 5 After a leisurely breakfast we retrace our steps North with a visit enroute.
