The superbly situated 3 star Empress Hotel on the seafront at Douglas is our base for this holiday. We tour the whole of the island including a full drive of the famous TT course via Ramsey, Port Erin and St John’s, the location of the ancient Tynwald or islands government.

Our crossings to the island are to and from Heysham. Douglas is the capital and largest town in the Isle of Man. In 1869, the island’s government, the Tynwald relocated to Douglas from Castletown. The annual TT course starts and finishes here.
